FINAL STEPS, POLICIES AND DEADLINES FOR TAX RETURN PREPARATION

Good day! Most of you are probably aware that the IRS has delayed the tax filing deadline to May 17, 2021. We wanted to communicate with you how BradyRenner will be handling the delay:

We will continue to work our tax season schedule to get as much done as possible by April 15th. Tax information received by March 15th will be completed by April 15th.

Any tax work that comes in between March 15th and April 15th, we will make reasonable efforts to get that completed by the new deadline of May 17th. That being said, after April 15th, our office will return to normal business hours. Any returns that cannot be completed by May 17th, will be extended.

If you have already had your tax return completed by us: Thank you for your business! We would like to get these filed by April 15th. Please note that all signed paperwork (eFile forms, bank verification, etc.) must be returned to us no later than Monday, April 12th to ensure timely filing of your tax return.

If you have sent us your tax information but we have not yet completed your return: We appreciate your patience. Know that we are working diligently to get everything completed by the filing deadline.

If you will not have your tax information together by the new filing deadline but intend for us to prepare your tax return: Please contact us no later than Friday, May 7th, so that we can properly file an extension on your behalf.

If you believe that you will owe money with your extension: We need you to send us whatever information you can no later than Monday, May 3rd, to allow us time to properly calculate an extension payment for you.

Lastly, please note that our offices will no longer be closed from Monday, April 19th through Friday, April 23rd. However, our staff will be taking some staggered time off during April and May for some well-deserved rest and relaxation with their families. Thank you for your understanding during the time that they are off.

This continues to be a fluid situation so stay tuned for any further updates to the deadlines as they get announced.

As always, we thank you for your continued trust in the BradyRenner team to serve your tax and accounting needs.
