Bowie, MD (January 17, 2017) — BradyRenner CPAs, a growing full-service public accounting firm headquartered in Bowie, Maryland, is pleased to announce that the firm has inaugurated its 2017 accounting internship program.
Developed in partnership with Towson University and Bowie State University, this initiative seeks to provide qualified students and recent graduates with the opportunity to experience the full breadth of accounting practice first-hand through real-world work experiences and opportunities to learn about the responsibilities and day-to-day operations of a progressive, fast-paced small business accounting practice.
For the spring 2017 semester, the firm selected Christopher M. Schmidt as the program’s inaugural participant. Mr. Schmidt is a senior who will graduate with a B.S. in Accounting from Towson University in December of 2017. He intends to pursue his CPA credential upon graduation, and is experienced in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, intermediate SQL programming and use of the Bloomberg financial information terminal.
In addition to his academic background, Christopher has worked in retail management and as a control electrician in the Baltimore area. He is a multiple-scholarship award winner and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society.
The BradyRenner team looks forward to working with Christopher during the spring of 2017 as he learns the front-line responsibilities of working in the firm.
