IRS Operations During COVID-19: Mission-Critical Functions Continue

The 2022 tax season is fast approaching and we, at BradyRenner CPAs, are prepared to continue to provide outstanding tax support while we maneuver through another year with Covid-19 in our midst. We appreciate your patience as we process your returns since we will be experiencing delays with the support services from the IRS.

The IRS is open and processing mail, tax returns, payments, refunds, and correspondence. However, COVID-19 continues to cause delays in some of its services. Some service delays include:

  • Live phone support
  • Processing tax returns filed on paper
  • Answering mail from taxpayers
  • Reviewing tax returns, even for returns filed electronically
  • Form SSA-1099 delayed delivery due to suspension of International mail to certain locations

We will continue to advise and provide support as we deal with time delays for specific actions our clients have submitted. The following URL provides a summary of actions that may experience delays and what steps may need to be taken under the “What You Can Expect” section.
